We are very proud to have been awarded a bronze accreditation with the Soil Association Food for Life programme in 100% of our primary and secondary schools and are working towards the silver standard.

'reconnect people with where their food comes from, teaching them how it is grown and cooked, and championing the importance of well-sourced ingredients'.

What this accreditation means for you

  • High quality ingredients are sourced in line with Soil Association Food for Life standards – from local suppliers with high standards of animal welfare and crop production (bronze standard)
  • Our menus contain a minimum of 75% freshly cooked food, so the use of bought in processed items is kept to a minimum (bronze standard)
  • All fish are Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified making sure that it is fished in a sustainable way to safeguard seafood supplies for the future (bronze standard)
  • Eggs are free range (bronze standard)
  • Organic produce is used, at no extra cost (gold standard)
